1999
The first COMPOSER WORKSHOPS with WATERSHED. Michael Dacre's first STORYTELLING ON THE STOUR. The beginnings of jazz a capella group SHADES OF BLUE. The first of two Confluence CABARETS. A RIVER HYMN FOR ROGATIONTIDE composed and IRRESPONSIBLE SONG workshops begin. Ballads and compositions brought together in TALKATIVE RIVER. Moving down through Sturminster Newton (Dorset) towards Blandford Forum (Dorset), and taking in a few FESTIVALS. The CUTWATER BAND play for their first bridge. NAMING OF BRIDGE AND BROOK sets another bridge in stone. ORAL HISTORIES lead to song-writing and a concert, OPEN THE FLOOD-GATES. Sturminster Mill comes to life in THE MUSICAL BOX.
2000
PIPEWORKS plumbs the depths, and May day birdsong provokes DAWN CHORUS MUSIC. At Blandford Forum (Dorset) rain welcomes the first WATER MARKET and moving on towards Wimborne (Dorset) young people discover LEGENDS OF THE STREAM on a residential course. The CONFLUENCE PERFORMING CLUB springs into life, and Tinnitus sufferers help in the planning of the WELL BEING concert.
2001
In Wimborne (Dorset) the choir assembles for OTTER - LUTRA LUTRA ON THE STOUR, and in the final stages of the project, Confluence arrives at Christchurch harbour (Dorset) for SINGING ACROSS THE RUN and THE CONFLUENCE at Christchurch Priory.
